Our activities of course cost money. There are two full time crew members to be paid, plus the running costs of the boats including, insurance, maintenance, repairs etc. Present overall costs are about £25,000 per year. Although we have some investment income we are dependent on our annual Country & Western Music Festival to provide the bulk of the money needed. Our Festival is held on the third Sunday of July each year.
We also have excellent support from many clubs, organisations and individuals. The Trust is most grateful for their continuing assistance.
Other costs are minimal due to the Committee members all freely giving their time and local firms giving their support without charge.
For example our 80’ 0” stage consists of four long trailers on loan from Messers T. Alan Jones of Welshpool. |
