News03/09/09 The Heulwen Trust has taken delivery of a new narrowboat from builders Maesbury Marine Services, near Oswestry. The boat has been named Silver Lady, in honour of the late Kathleen Silver who left a substantial bequest to the Trust some years ago. Chairman of the Heulwen Trust, David Corfield, said, "Silver Lady is purpose-built to carry elderly or disabled people, and incorporates the latest state-of-the-art technology. She will join Heulwen II in giving free trips along the Montgomery Canal to those groups entitled to use our boats". The pictures shows the boat being transported to Belan Locks.
